Construction is underway for the $4.2 million efficiency upgrade that Metrus financed for our new Fortune 500 customer, with project completion scheduled in Q3 2016. This multi-benefit project is located at a manufacturing facility in the Midwest and includes lighting and variable frequency drivers and controls. This project is saving over 10.6 million kWh and avoiding the emission of almost 7,300 tons of CO2. This is equivalent to eliminating the electricity use of 1,540 homes each year and removing 1,010 vehicles from the road annually. This project is the first in a multi-site ESA program for our Fortune 500 customer. The ESA program will start with site-specific, efficiency upgrade projects in the U.S., but has the built-in capacity to rollout globally.
